Detailed Course Description
Rhythm Course Part 1 is a comprehensive introduction to the core building blocks of musical rhythm. Designed for beginners and early music learners, this course guides students through the fundamental concepts of note values, rests, and time signatures in a clear, engaging, and practical way.
Learners will explore whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes—along with their corresponding rests—through visual lessons and progressive tapping exercises. The course also introduces common time signatures such as 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 3/8, and 6/8, helping students develop a strong internal pulse and the ability to count and perform rhythms accurately.
By the end of the course, students will not only understand rhythmic notation but also feel confident in applying it through clapping, tapping, and early performance practice. This course lays the rhythmic foundation essential for further musical development, whether on piano or any other instrument.
