Quick Way to Learn Rhythm Patterns Using Fruit Syllables
Want a fun and easy way to remember rhythm patterns? We’ve got a “secret
code”—using fruit syllables to match each rhythm! Just say the fruit while clapping, tapping, or playing, and your brain will instantly feel the rhythm.
Here’s the full code for the 9 patterns we’ve learned:
How to Use the Fruit Secret Code
1. Speak the fruit out loud while clapping or tapping the rhythm.
2. Play it on your instrument while saying the syllables.
3. Feel the rhythm naturally—the long and short syllables match exactly to
the notes.
For example:
• The rhythm two semiquavers + one quaver is Co–co–nut:
o Tap “Co” → tap “co” → hold “nut” for the longer note.
• The rhythm semiquaver + dotted quaver is O–range:
o Quick tap “O” → hold “range” for the dotted quaver.
This method makes learning rhythms fun, memorable, and much easier for
beginners.

The next step is simple—practice.
